It's been dry in many areas this year, even northern Wisconsin is in D3 and D4. However in this belt along the IA-MN border and into WI we have been blessed with rain and mild temperatures. Moving the cows this afternoon it was amazing how well the clover and grasses are still growing even a few days after our average date of first frost. The line between daily moves is very clear and cows and calves look like they really appreciate the good grazing. Here's a pic from this afternoon after opening up some fresh grass.
