Iowa | Having problems in my nursery with a curtain machine that controls the inlets. Had alarm of high amp draw - draws 3.5 amps, alarm is set at 2.5. It has a control board then a set of 4 whisker switches. My understanding looking at the diagram is the plug on the motor has 4 wires - neutral, ground, 2 hot 110 wires - I’m assuming the hot wires dictate the direction of travel as the motor is a 110v motor. I’m trying to read this off the back of the panel diagram. What it looks like is happening is both hots are energized at the same time so the motor just hums and generates heat (it’s unplugged now). Fortunately it’s a temp outside and the pigs are big enough I just manually opened the inlets all the way- but need to figure out soon. Airstream brand unit. | |
