| Hi Robert in NY,
I am in the process of repairing a round planter box like the one in your picture. My box is older, painted orange when new. It was rusted out about 4" on the bottom. I cut it off with tin snips. (I am still in the process of removing the rust) so I don't have mine re-attached.
It is simple to re attach, just cut and bend in 3 tabs, matching the base, set the box on the base aligning the 3 tabs and turn over the box and take a hammer and bend over the rest of the metal on the bottom side of the base. You will have a good box - just shorter.
I ordered my parts from http://www.schmidtinc.com/partsacplanter.pdf 800 281-2164
They were very helpful.
I have used units like yours with the crank adjust. I have also used the newer pin adjust units.
GOOD LUCK,
DANNY | |
