Well in MY opinion, yes you need a rolling basket. We have a single basket but I would highly recommend a double basket...It does a great job flatening corn stalks. We no-till our beans, then after we plant the beans we go in with our rolling basket and flatten the stalks. Gets alot of the trash out of the grain tank when you are cutting beans.
