Well, well, well.  I have found someone after my own heart.  I too, grow potatoes for fun.  I found a used 2 row planter last spring and planted about 1/4 of acre last year.  This year I have about .8 acres.  That is all the farther 1700# of seed went. lol.  My neighbor bought a digger years ago for some school teacher friends to use one summer.  They never did use it so he lets me use it as it just sits there.  I wish I would have know about your situation sooner. I have been looking all winter, just for the fun of it on e-bay and craigslist and they have come up for sale.  Also search on places like http://www.ironsearch.com/ and any other machinery search sights you can think of.  Here is one that does all the craigslist in the USA at one time.  It is called http://www.searchtempest.com/ I see one or 2 on there, don't remember where they are at.  No, pto ones at this time.  Just the pull type.  I use a IHC 21.  I will keep my eyes open and you in mind.  I let my two 11 year old girls sell some to make a little money and the rest we give to a county food bank.  What are you going to do with 1 acres of potatoes?  here is my email if you want [email protected]
