| I want to get the old Phantom 3 flying again. I have verified that the controller charges up and holds a charge, connected my phone to it and fired the app up. All looks good there.
The original battery is shot. Swollen up and dead. I ordered a replacement from Amazon.
Now, for the drone itself, and the question I have... It has sat on a shelf in a closet for many years. Climate controlled, out of direct sunlight. Dusty, but will be cleaned up.
The props though, they are in perfect shape visually since I never crashed it. Original props. Any chance that the plastic could have degraded, possibly cracking or breaking during flight? String trimmer line and zip ties will dry out and get brittle over time, but can be brought back to life by soaking in water. Maybe soaking the props might not be a bad idea? Thoughts? | |
