Bought one earlier this year and love it. It’s bigger than you think. You’ll either need to land it on a trailer or have 2 people to handle it decently. Software is simple, only complaint there is the maps are outdated. Like field edges are kinda schetchy on some fields. They work good in big or small fields but it will take some time to figure out the most efficient way to spray fields. Moving between small fields is probably the biggest time factor. This fall or spring I’m gonna outline every field I plan on spraying next year manually, that will give accurate boundaries and save time next summer

where does it fit in your operation? How many acres can you actually cover in an average day?

On paper and from what salesmen have told me:
1. It can't replace teh self propelled sprayer.
2. It struggles to shoot a straight line. You'll end up with 5-10' miss in headlands or you'll end up burning up someones yard trying to get it all.
3. chemicals are limited. I haven't done the research yet to see what can / can't be sprayed? What do you spray with it?

I know most insecticides and fungicides are safe. I think you can spray roundup, 24d, sharpen. What else?

Can you do a burndown with it? Does the low volume cause issues with residuals? Authority, anthem, etc still work ok?

Post like flexstar and clethodim?

We mostly grow nongmo soybeans for a local specialty market. around 1000 acres. Does this drone make sense for what chemicals i'd likely be using?
