Older or younger guy doesn't matter when you have a field partially cut. I towed moco to Deere dealer who needed time to sort out and order parts and schedule a technician. This hay was too good to waste.

Unless a Deere mower is like a Deere combine and overly complicated why do you need to tow it to a dealer or wait 3 weeks. We run a 7230 NH we’ve done cutterbar work, we’ve replaced gearboxes, and a section of driveline. Most of the repairs have taken place in the gravel in front of my shop let alone bringing it in the shop. IIRC the first time we tore the cutterbar apart was in the field on July 2nd or 3rd and tried to get it ripped apart far enough to make a parts run before the holiday.
