Sorry - - - some misinformation here.
With a 16' moco I could quite a bit more than 40 acres a day and it was with a 85 hp tractor.
Now if you are mowing 40 acres/hr with a discbine I would bet you have around 300 hp
on the crank and at that speed I do hope you have a very very expensive seat cause the
ground is going to punish you physically - - - - a LOT!

IMO one thing that was never tried and that was coming up with something like a tri or even a 5-plex
12' moco so cutting either 36 or 60' at once and even the 60' m/c would likely work well with
somewhat over 200 hp (unless you were trying to drive at 8 mph in a very very heavy stand 3 t dm/ac).
