Why not apply the same ban to EVs connecting to the grid? Why should John Q. Public pay more for electricity because of increased EV demand for a mode of transportation they have chosen not to use? NIMBY but still expect the benefits is one of the core issues.
You do realize it takes about 7 kWh to produce a gallon of gasoline? With that same electricity, Ed, myself, or any Tesla owner can drive about 20 miles. Plus, 100% of electricity is produced in North America, where your gas may be coming from less than friendly folks on the other side of the planet. |
