Also It takes 2-3 years to establish good pasture after it’s been farmed and it takes 2 years to create a new momma cow. That long of a timeframe and past market crashes make guys very gunshy about trying to expand too quickly. Not to mention the extra labor with livestock in general, if the money between grain and cows is even close to the same 90% of guys are gonna put it in corn. | |
