Agree with you oldtiger. In my area land that could support cows is under extreme pressure from the hunting guys. Those guys better never utter a single word on beef being to high, after what I see they spend trying to get a trophy deal...and that meat sucks...
I've got a neighbor that's a very avid deer hunter that claims big bucks will not cohabitate on the same farms as cattle. Gets under his skin when i text him pics of nice bucks I encounter while out checking cows and things. The deer hunters anymore hardly even want any rowcrop farming on the same farm either even if 10-20 acre field. Big food plots getting more and more common where they don't see $1 of annual return off owning that farm all the tillable acres are converted to various type of food plot plantings for the deer. |
