| I have weekly conversations with crop guys that complain about the price of beef yet say it's too much work. You can't have it both ways. I've said for years it needs to price itself out of reach before the supply chain starts to fix itself.
You think those raising beef aren't tired of the flies and the smell?
I wouldn't raise an animal if I could buy steak for $1 pound. I would expand as much as I could if they were worth $1000 a pound. You would too. Sounds like you think beef is not worth the hassle and more guys are feeling that way,
Like I said. I'm a row crop guy with a side of cattle so the cattle market exploding or crashing doesn't really effect me financially that much. | |
