My JD 630 Moco with rotary knives had two mishaps recently and will take awhile to get repaired. This 3rd crop hay should have been cut 3 weeks ago but with almost constant rain showers and moco problems it didn't happen. I finally talked to a good neighbor who came over with his JD 3020 tractor and NH 489 sickle bar haybine on Wednesday. It did a very nice job on this heavy grass/alfalfa/clover mixture! Spread it out closer to cutterbar width than my JD 630 moco. Slower but better in several ways. There is nothing nothing like good friends and neighbors! Wednesday was a good drying day but with rain in the forecast for Thursday night and today (Friday) I raked it at supper time Thursday and wrapped it under lights Thursday night.
