Abilene, Texas | I purchased an Equinox Ev in August of 2025. I was making frequent 180 mile trips (one way) plus running back and forth to the farm (15 miles one way). It seemed to make sense for a lot of reasons such as having charging available at my destination. It has worked out really well for trips as well as chasing parts and such. Have not put a pencil to it but the savings over a 5 dollar a gallon diesel pick up have been substantial. Only problem is my wife drove it enough that she wanted one. So…. Now I have two of them! I can’t imagine what circumstances would ever put us back in a regular car. We still have several pickups but they basically only get farm use. I know the EVs are not a fit for a lot of folks but they work great for us.
