Subject: TP or anyone else Turbine repair


Faunsdale, AL		Anyone have any experience replacing bearing in turbine on a Reel Rain? Already had to pay several times what we originally paid for it to get it out of the corporation, so I really don’t want to have to buy another turbine. Bearing is sloppy and seal leaks which was fine until it would stop in middle of a pull. Bearing appears to be a typical sealed “water pump” unit but have no idea where to buy those by dimension. Local bearing supplier couldn’t help last time I asked. Only sources I have are the OEM’s like Deere that offer them as repair parts for their machines. I see some in Shoup catalog for red corn heads I think.Got to get the aluminum quill, bearing and shaft assembly out of the larger turbine volute without breaking anything before I can even get impeller off shaft and disassemble to measure bearing.
