| Glad you are still intact! If you think about it, 40-60 psi out of a garden hose can get kind of lively, now take a 4 inch id hose at 150 psi and you got a whole different kind of force going on. I imagine the air was moving at a certain number of feet per second, and the water quickly slowed the motion of the air, and maybe the instantaneous pressure at a certain point might have gone up more than 150 for a fraction of a second, and then the water exploded out of the end of the hose when it got a chance, that's just my take. | |
