Central Western VA Mountains | Had several small fields cleared via forestry mulching and will be making improvements, ie lime, etc.
To my surprise, a lot of native grasses grew-in over the summer, however, there are some spots thick with the weed/plant shown in the pics. Any feed value in this?
In addition to the above, I’ve got a lot of undergrowth grass too. I’m thinking about cutting it, putting it in a round bale and selling it on the cheap to glean some revenue towards input costs. Would be pretty trashy hay IMHO - but the goat people are good to us and always looking for a deal…
Aside from the weed ID in the pics, what is the trashiest hay you’ve baled and sold - LOL…
