Subject: RE: Menards 11% warning

southern MN
Lowe’s was so bad around here they closed after opening a new store, think they gave it 10 years.

Home Depot used to be a nice store to go to; I hadn’t been in years went in some time ago and what a cold, dark, depressing caged up place. Ugh.

Meanwhile, the Menards in that nearby regional shopping center town was so busy they couldn’t manage it. They built a new Menards in my 14,000 population home town, only 25 miles away, to get some of the pressure off the regional store. Lot of folk thought that was crazy, wouldn’t work. Years later, 2 expansions later, my home town store is busy, as is the one competing with Home Depot.

I agree we buy a lot of cheap junk, but it’s that way all over any of the stores.

Even 2 of the 3 hometown lumber yards are still in business in my home town. Many of us are surprised and happy about that.

Paul
