Southeast Colorado | A decade or so ago I ran 300 some yearlings for a local guy. This was on wheat pasture. When we settled up...........I made like 75% of the increased value of the animals. I asked the guy how that worked for him and he said just great. I told him I thought that seemed to favor me.........and he said that I did most of the work. He then said he had 10k head on wheat...........and they were spread across 20 people.......who were all doing most of the work. He was fine with making 25%........of a really big number. More work than he could handle on his own. | |
