| Am I wrong in my thinking about the Menard's rebate program? Menards comes into an area and negotiates real estate taxes lower for 10-15 years. In return over charges for the products they sell and people pay more in sales tax than they should ( makes taxing body happy) and then they give back 11% if you remember to send it back in. Menards saves taxes in property taxes and customer picks up the tab with higher sales tax. Then after 10-15 years they build another store around the corner and start the process over again and rent out the old building or sell it. | |
