nc ks | We need 10 per tractor that enters a cornfield. We try to get by with 8 but it isn't quite enough when going across the grain or turning. The corn heads can get by with 1 per side positioned between the duals. We prefer to leave some standing residue. May wes can do as they please. I am just saying they need some competition. I believe they are pricing at what the market will bear and that is fine. I don't think that I am the only one looking for alternatives at $148 per pop. The way we use them, we don't need the fancy bulb at the bottom except for on the corn head. Flat would be fine and we could put our own wear bars on them when we see where they are starting to wear. That's what is great about the modern system of supply. Usually when one supplier gets too full of themselves and has play money to give all the utube influencers, someone comes in and offers an alternative to the fat cats. I am just saying it seems like any alternatives have been slow to come and trying to get the word out that one is needed. I just bought 4 more and that is $600 and makes me wonder if it is worth it. If they were $85 I probably would have bought 12. It isn't good business to not look for alternatives for overpriced goods. The guys making the corn head I'm bolting it to have a lot more to figure out on pricing and thankfully I have multiple choices and also a used market. I don't really see the comparison that you are trying to make anyway. I don't know what they cost when I first started buying them, but I don't think they were $148 and it doesn't really matter. I just hope someone gives them some competition.
