Schlegel Farms, Hagerstown Indiana | That you own and is not for sale.
A neighbor called today and asked about some land we own that is for sale.
We knew nothing about it.
It is land we own, but it is not for sale.
It is a piece of ground that does not have an address. I sold the house off of it years ago, and never got a new address (old one went with house) for the bare ground that was left (I didn't think I needed one, no buildings)
It is just a 5.82-acre chunk taken from another property (the rest of the farm I sold the house off of).
It is listed as 12478 Clyde Oler Drive (the road is actually Clyde Oler Road), not Drive, and the address doesn't exist on the county GSI site.
If I Google the fake address, it brings up several realtors trying to sell it, with a lot of current pictures.
I checked at the courthouse, and my wife and I are still listed as the rightful owners, so I'm not too worried about it getting sold.
I can't figure out what the scam is… maybe getting a down payment from someone?
I'm curious how to proceed from here.
Don't want to see somebody getting scammed, and would like to see the culprit get caught.
