With relatively low volume (< 100), half in thick black UHMW CNC machined would be around $100 and that's with my basically zero overhead.
To me, the compression molded versions from May Wes are not overpriced when one considers the design advantages of the real deal, investment in compression mold tooling and costs of running a business.
