Southwestern Minnesota
I had a bad bout of this for about four months. Finally talked to the doctor about it. And then tried a variety of remedies. I did try that foot splint at night. I rolled an ice pack on my foot. I did stretching exercises. I got a referral to PT. I had two cortisone shots. I got inserts for my shoes and slippers and never went barefoot or stood flat footed. I got fatigue mats for where I do prolonged standing. Any time I stood in one place, I tried to offload the foot that was sore. Then I got a foot massager that had heat and shiatsu vibration. I think that helped the most of all. Secondly, the inserts and never going barefoot. And then making a habit of never directly standing on that foot without flexing it so that it took the pressure off. Six months later, it is much-improved. That was a very painful experience.
