SC WI
This is our 4th year with it, first year was 2 bags that I got late and took for silage, 2024 we got 50 acres and was "some" water stress and yields were average, 2025 had 100 acres and was my best corn. For 2026 we have 200 acres 105-50 and 104-60. Both look great except for the off types that are taller. I believe they are planted at 37-39k, for a yield goal of 275-300. The cost of seed is cheaper per unit. My per acre is still probably cheaper than " normal" corn at 35-36k. The roots and stalk is what im excited about, roots are 25 percent bigger than " normal" corn and the stalks are noticeably bigger. Ear height is the biggest concern and why they dont want this stuff on "stressed" areas. When the trait comes they will be able to control ear height better. Height this year is about 7 ft., I dont use my ground rig for fungicide, use a drone. IMO this stuff will be the future of corn production but we wont call it "short" corn it will just be corn. Roots, standability, and yield are the things Im excited about
