Lots of volunteer corn in twin row corn the next year. Pretty common to see that with the corn head always being off centered.

Narrow corn will do quite a bit better in droughty conditions. And late planting. And tougher ground. And less chance of wind damgage (providing same population. And will yield better around any curves because you can go against the row without having much of an issue.

Canapies sooner and the ground stays shaded and cooler.
