Also, have we not learned anything from Roundup? It seems that virtually every pesticide we've come up with has a finite number of applications before we find resistance. That number may vary depending on the product, but it is still a pattern.
So, 3x fungicide application is going to render it useless much faster than using only once and that'll be faster than only using when pressure is high.
Just trying to wrap y head around your thought process here??? So you believe that years back Roundup resistance was from using TOO MUCH Roundup...??? So when Roundup was actually a good product that worked very well, If I used a 2x rate and killed everything dead and also sprayed more passses and never let anything go to seed in a field??? Over application was the cause of resistance???
I more think it was more like "Oh this stuff is great!" ... "I can let weeds get 2' tall spray once and use few ounces less and save Money!" ... "Oh and This stuff is so great that we don't need to spend extra money on pre herbicides or partner products, (insert let's NOT BE preventative) We'll just wait and crop canopy will work.."
Then seed companies said "Hey the market will buy RR in all crops... Forget Liberty Link trait, let's push it out.." as it was around then too but they put RR in every crop possible as quick as possible...
SO now it's fungicide that is gonna get resitance from spraying preventative and extra passes???
Sorry I'm not buying that ticket for that train ride...
Fungus Infection is doing damage before you ever see it.... So most are behind the 8 ball most of the time including myself.... Thermal Imagining proves this.... Why is there reseach in infurrow, early season, and multi passes???? I guess it on the SEED COMPANY to build a better product... We seen how they care about the future of farming... Example Monsanto and the Roundup Push...
Education & Rotation helps more than anything...
