Don’t have enough, it was recommended by an advisor, I was skeptical for all the reasons below. If I remember I have had it 3-4 years, once again from memory without digging up statements was one of best performers for me last year but I stay away from the real sexy stuff.
Stores that absolutely shine here are Kwip Trip. They are privately held as I have asked. Those stores look like a goldmine. But they don’t do anything cheap. I think in Iowa they have a slightly different name because of some copyright deal. I almost enjoy going to their stores and wherever they are , are always a hub of activity. Super clean, well stocked, generally keep same people.
Copyrights can be a good thing. Morris Apple owned a place in Laurel, MD called Pizza Hut of Laurel. When the big chain Pizza Hut was looking to build, they threatened law suits if he did not change his name. His lawyer found out he had incorporated before Pizza Hut and threatened to make them change all of their places' name. Pizza Hut bought the name from him, he changed his place to Apple's Pie. His pizza was much better than Pizza Hut's. |
