Having a few dozen Caribbean employees has the local grocery stocking green bananas and plantains.I hav e had them served as a breakfast starch along with Ackee and saltfish when in Jamaica..Ackee comes from a fruit on a tree that when cooked is almost identical to scrambled eggs.Almost as a traditional breakfast as bacon and eggs and homefries here.
