| For the average person.... Yes, I suspect you could buy two Blizzards at the regular price.... For the OP, I suspect if he could not get it on sale, then it was not an option.... When I go to the local grocery store, I check to see if bananas are on sale. Regular price for bananas is something like $0.55-$0.59/ lb. When they are on sale, price is something like $0.29/ lb. Generally these are bananas ripe - getting close to being not saleable, so price is reduced to move them. One day, I sat down and calculated the price difference. I decided that I could afford to buy bananas at regular price if I really wanted bananas. But my mindset is that I was looking for a bargain. I suspect others have that same mindset - including the OP. Reality is that bananas at regular price tend to be green, and not ripe. If I buy bananas at regular price, I would have to bring them home and let them set around until they ripen. So, I would really prefer the bargain price bananas as they are ripe. But they also have a shorten shelf-life. But that is beside the point.... I have a mindset to look for a bargain. I suspect others do as well. |
