I worked for the Chicago, Fort Wayne and Eastern Railroad. I quit in 2013, and haven’t been up there since.
I’m not really familiar with the other tracks up that way. Were you on CSX? Our tracks ended at Tolleston. I think it connected to CSX there.
This is where I stopped.
I was on Conrail then NS after the merger.
There was no connection at Tolleston at that time.
We came up the Kankakee line to Gibson and cut over or went up through the IHB to the mainline. That was at CP502. The porter branch got us over to CP482 to jump on the mainline.
I'm surprised the old Pennsy Fort Wayne line can keep the place busy.
