To grasp the whole idea of what the big lake transport boats do, you need to stop at the iron ore mine near Chisholm, it's part of the Mesabi Range where most of our domestic steel comes from. At the Duluth Canal Park Museum there is a film that shows the whole process. Two Harbors is nice, drive on up the coast some, black sand beach at Silver Bay area. | |
