I have both. The dual battery string trimmer is incredible in tall grass. Down side is it does weigh more. I run a pair of 8.0s and a pair of 6.0s on it.

The single battery unit with quik-lok is great for trimming little stuff around buildings and trees. The problem is that it cuts better when the string is just a few inches longer than it was designed for, but that takes more torque and makes more heat. Then the thermal protection shuts it down for a few seconds.

I pretty much only use the single battery power head with the pole saw now. If I need a string trimmer, I grab the dual battery unit.
