I still like a paper map, it helps me see the big picture vs “ turn here in 500ft”. If I do use a screen for directions, I find myself scrolling out to see the actual route….just like a paper map.
And a paper map is easier to read without glasses, that I’m needing more and for….yup, old guy problems….
