Subject: RE: What convenience store for a small town?

southern MN
Kwick Trip has become popular around here the past few years. They seem to be small grocery stores and probably go for more of a town than a small town. That said my 15,000 town has two KT stores in it.

Casey’s seems to be popping up everywhere, including small villages and cross roads.

Holiday stations used to be my favorite before the virus years - they were probably very regional as they were based in my state. Now they are part of Circle K and are being converted over, and seem to be falling behind the other 2. They went to pay at the pump (so did everyone else) and their pumps didn’t recognize my card. Their discount programs didn’t really discount properly over time. They are typically out of the creamer or coffee I prefer. They don’t offer E15 locally. I have moved on.

See a lot of Cenex stations around, which I probably am supposed to support, but going back some years they had some oddball central stalk you put your credit card in and somehow picked which of the pumps that was supposed to pay for. I really didn’t like that setup at all and just learned to avoid Cenex stations.
