If AI’ing heifers, unless the bull is proven I will lean calving ease… natural service I won’t. Have had homegrown bulls that were 100 lbs on heifers and all calved unassisted…. A heifer/cow has performance traits that will dictate her ability to calve just as the shape of the bull does.

Calving ease is a double edged sword. Years and years of calving ease bulls have pushed birthweights down and heifers that struggle. While just my opinion… a heifer should have no problem pushing a 70-75 lb calf… a mature cow 90-100, that’s the sweet spot I think.
