I dont get the heifers are too high to keep. Cull cows are setting records, it evens out. Buy good reliable bulls that you have data on from someone you can trust and if the heifers are raised right, they should not be much of a problem. Now you buy a bunch of heifers from the sale barn that you know nothing about, it could be different. 

but when they are cheap you are supposed to save all your heifers and cut your income even more... Yeah I've never understood that mentality
