Okay, disclaimer that I was a kid who got sent to the spelling bee, who punctuation and so forth came pretty easy to.  

In this day after the COVID debacle, any teacher who exhibits a desire to get students interested in real reading and not something on a screen would be worthy of my support.   At most a very gently worded note of a couple errors, but not a scolding for something she may have not even been adequately taught .

We've got a kid who struggled terribly with this sort of stuff with one teacher, did okay with the next.  It's a really tough moving target.
