| I've done it, we cut it with a haybine. Even when you think it's dry enough leave it lay some more. Used a JD 567 baler and it picked up most of it. Makes great feed but again, dry enough so it doesn't mold and cut high enough so you dodge the nitrates in the lower stalk. Absolutely need a baler with a heavy pickup. I wouldn't hesitate to do it, thought we might be looking at the same thing but never got that bad. |
