I struggle with that dry ROI also.

I wish I had a farm that I knew was going to be sold for development in 10 years, and do some sections with 100% 0% and 50% of removal P/K and just see what yield does vs soil test vs $ spent. I’m so paranoid that the low and 0% is going to hurt me long term I’m too scared to do it on a farm I’ll have for a long time and don’t want to cheat a landlord or honestly get a bad name if I loose a farm and someone else test it and says “he was just mining this farm, he’s probably mining them all”


Maybe pick a field AWAY FROM THE ROAD and get two strips with the same soil type and try that. Not sure how your soils are though, it’s kinda impossible where I live. We have super variable fields here.
