W usually drive the whole way in one day, but have occasionally driven to Chamberlain South Dakota and spent the night at the AmericInn. Our grandkids liked the pool there, plus it's the turning point from eastern to western SD and it's beautiful crossing the river, which you could do in the morning after spending a restful night.
