Subject: RE: Scam calls, voicemails, and text

E. Kansas
I have gone for a few years without getting a bunch of pestering spam call each day. Often only 1 every couple weeks.

That changed about a week ago, and now it's 15 calls or more just within an afternoon. They're identified as "Potential Spam" and I never answer, and less than 1 a day leaves a message. When I'd had enough one day, I answered and it was some health care stuff, nothing that I'm shopping for or inquired about somewhere.

I would like to set my phone to not ring with identified Spam calls. I block all these numbers, and see that just 1 or so called back and got blocked.

I don't want to set my phone to only ring if in contacts list, as too many other calls are legit that aren't in contact list. Those are typically never identified as a Spam call and are shown with the actual caller's name.

Checking Google for this specific request for my particular phone definitely shows a way to easily silence Spam calls from ringing. However, all those descriptions seem to be just a general approximation of how to do it, and my phone does not actually have options I can find to invoke silencing Spam call rings. So I might need to check around for another call filter, as Verizon's isn't seeming to filter these calls like it did just was a few weeks ago.

It is so frustrating to mess around with this nonsense. You wouldn't put up with all kinds of people showing up at your place all the time to sell you something. I own my phone just like I do my home, and the Spam calls are not welcome or invited.

Any ideas?
