Subject: RE: 1,000 year flood

East central Indiana
In the mid 1980’s we had 7”+ in a hour vs this one under 8” in 12 hours. Was higher water in the 80’s but I also remember vividly the state bridge next to us washed out and that summer being rebuilt and culverts getting upsized.

I am not sure which is worse having it quick, dealing with it and getting over it or having it come over a long period of time and hoping it stops. This morning forecast isn’t looking friendly either…

I hope those affected the worst rebound quick. It sure sucks at the time, but someone before endured it fine. Between floods and tornadoes in the last 3 years here it definitely tests a persons faith….
