Subject: RE: Magnum Rowtrac

Latimer Iowa
We have a magnum rowtrak 385 and magnum 355's on wheels. Anything in the field, including just spreading manure in the field, the rowtrack is nicer to operate. Better traction too. Steers like a mfwd and rides like a track tractor. Caveat of until the ground freezes. Once the ground is froze the rowtrak will struggle with spinning out and no cushion in the ride. On the road the rowtrak is not as nice and is slower.

The 355's mainly haul manure but will get put on the roller or grain cart. On those jobs the guys complain about wanting the rowtrak. 380/385 Rowtrak pulls a 36r30 2165 case planter. Has the 24 inch tracks and have not had issues. Also run it on a 50' 1910/1890 deere air seeder on 7.5 spacing and the 1300 bushel cart if its available. The jobs you mention will not work the tractor unless you live in goat hills.

We run Case because I can't afford Deere's. :-) The Deere tech is better, flip a coin on reliability and operating, Case is the winner price wise. If you have a solid dealer of either you wont be disappointed.
