I mostly agree with you hinfarm. 92 year old Ethel can’t care for the farm anymore….why doesn’t she sell it then?

Nope….leave it to the grandkids on the coasts, that have no ambition to care for it, just want the check cause it’s an “ investment “

I had cleaned up a bunch of fence lines on a rented farm. This was after the family of owners wondered why I asked to pay on planted and sprayed acres vs what any body thought the acres were. They just couldn’t comprehend that 40’ of brush into field would be an issue….

Needless to say I rubbed them the wrong way. When they finally did sell it I was just another stranger. Waterway work, rock picking, widened and put rock in field approaches, mowed around buildings, all on my dime. I feel I improved their “ investment” quite a bit.

Renting absolutely sucks……and it’s an absolute necessity….
