The guy in the link is full of it! Few people know all that Allis Chalmers is/has been involved with. They still make, or supply parts for, power transformers with the AC labels on them. Nuclear power plants, turbines, jet engines, massive generators, submarines, and more.
The real issue was the company was run by greedy, near sighted people that no idea.
No, I'm fairly certain everything he said was accurate, he was speaking to the owner of the trademark. What did he say that was inaccurate?
The fact that you can still get parts for Electrical components that were made by Allis Chalmers isn't surprising, they sold the electric division to Siemens in the 70's, and branded it as Siemens-Allis for a little while.
The issue as I've understood it was the people running the company were trying their best to keep it in agriculture, and the Ag division was losing more money than they could sell off other divisions to raise.
