A little black fallow before planting helps a lot.
Broadleaves you hit once and that plant is done.
Grass, especially quack grass, it's more of a you have to wear it out. Lot of energy in the roots, a green fuzz and hit it again, after several times it's getting tired. Get a cold wet spell, grass gets like a lawn and basically have to start over.
Rotation helps a lot.
Mechanical cultivator and flamers work well.
Have one field this year because of the weather, timing...it has a lot of quack that I couldn't get out. | |
