Unscrew the knife sharpener handle and remove
You will see a hole in the shield directly below the opening where the handle had been
Installed the handle through this hole and over the notches in the side plates of the cutter head
With the handle sitting in those notches, slide the sharpener stone over the left notch of the side sheet
Turn the stone down until the stone contacts the handle not threads in the notch
Remove the handle and install back into the sharpener housing and lock the stone in place
The stone is now what you adjust the knives to

Install the four bolts and washers but do not tighten yet
Now screw down the two outer bolts and tighten enough to hold the knife in place. Leave the two center bolts loose
Using a hammer and long punch. Place the point of the punch into one of the two small holes in the knife
Using the hammer and punch drive the knife towards the sharpening stone until the knife lightly touches the stone at each end
Don’t worry about the stone rubbing the knife in the center of the knife. You adjust for each end of the knife
Once the knife is where it needs to be tighten all the knife bolts starting with the two center bolts
Torque bolts to 175 ftlbs.
Turn the cutter head until the adjusted knife passes the shearbar
If the knife hits the shearbar then turn the sharpening stone down a little and loosen the knife and readjust the knife
Repeat for each knife
Sharpen the knives until you get a good edge from one side to the other
