East of Broken Bow
I've had good luck with Hobart Fabtuf for all around hardfacing. Not the most wear resistant, but it welds good and I've never had it crack or peel. I've used Stoody, and it is more abrasion resistant, but also more brittle. I don't know about other brands, but I've welded a new layer over existing Fabtuf coating, with good results. The guy at the welding shop where I got it said you can do that 2 layers thick, but probably won't work out well if I try to go 3.
